FOR over 20 years, Fake News aka Kirk Huelin has been a significant figure in the underground dance music scene, starting from LSBU student union to iconic venues like Ministry of Sound in 1999, and later XOYO and Eden in the late 2010s.
Known for a unique style that blends live remixing with vocal overlays, Fake News has captivated audiences under many aliases. Alongside performing, Fake News has managed talents from emerging artists to A-list house acts and also developed his own brand, Dojo.
In addition to his own endeavours, Fake News has collaborated with Mark Gwinnett for several years on various projects, a partnership rooted in a shared passion for the dance music scene. This informal collaboration eventually led to an official invitation to join The Night Bazaar team.
In this capacity, Fake News contributes not only to the production side but also thrives as one of the resident DJs for The Night Bazaar Music Show, further cementing his role as an influential figure in the dance music community. He says:
“I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of The Night Bazaar team. It’s an opportunity that aligns perfectly with my passion for underground dance music and my desire to contribute meaningfully to the scene. I’m eagerly looking forward to delivering some great content this year, and I believe our combined efforts will create something truly special for our audience.”
