Generously donating his work to charitable foundation Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, Swedish production connoisseur Johan S is gearing up for another house masterclass as he joins forces with the charity that just raised £80,000+ in their Set For Love campaign. Available on all platforms on the 28th August, ‘My Vibe’s proceeds will all be donated to LNADJ and their support for children in crisis.
Going in at full pelt on the production side of the charity, LNADJ Records is kicking off a series of releases from some of the biggest names in the business, and it’s starting the onslaught with Johan S’ pedal-to-the-metal, Ibiza-worthy, ‘My Vibe.’ A no-nonsense grooving piano track with infectious vocal hooks, big build-ups and even bigger drops. It’s easy to hear why Johan’s 30+ year career has seen him host his music on the likes of Toolroom, Defected, Simma Black, Glasgow Underground and many more. On producing ‘My Vibe’ he added:
“I’m really excited to work with this charity and to be able to help in any way I can as an artist and DJ. I hope to spread a positive vibe in these challenging times. Positivity is what ‘My Vibe’ is all about, a feel good house track aimed to unite people in the unique way only house music can do.”
Donating the release to LNADJ, any money made from ‘My Vibe’ will be sent directly to the electronic-music charity. In 2020 alone, it created the biggest simultaneous DJ live stream ever, with over 1,000 DJs taking part in its Set For Love campaign, including headliners Carl Cox, Eats Everything and Nightmares On Wax. £80,000+ was raised for their Covid-19 Emergency Relief Appeals which provided communities in developing countries with food, water and medical supplies. Now it’s moving from the decks to the studio with a label revamp and the start of what will be a very exciting release schedule.
Celebrating 10 years a charity, Last Night A DJ Saved My Life has created positive change through harnessing the creativity and energy found on dance floors worldwide and they aren’t about to stop any time soon. On releasing ‘My Vibe,’ Label Manager Jim McNulty added:
“We at LNADJ always liked the idea of a charity label, where artists and producers could support our charity by contributing music for release. Now with support and guidance from my friend Jonathan Waller (Strikeforce) we have our first donated track from Johan S.”
Last Night A DJ Saved My Life is a registered charity in England & Wales no 1142478.
