IT’S going to be very exciting when the dance floors finally reopen, not least because of the wealth of new music that has been created over the last year being heard for the first time on big sound systems around the world.
This week we caught up with one of the new wave of electronic music artists from Spain who are raring to unleash the new music they have crafted during lockdown, Ramiro Lopez.
While we wait just a little longer to be together again, Ramiro has compiled and talks us through a playlist of audio weapons that are aimed firmly at the floor to mark the release of his new Into The Code EP, the first of a number of releases from him in 2021.
The Southern – Jack Funk
“Latest release on my label, Odd recordings from Italian homie The Southern. Amazing jacking techno that I love to play.”
Andres Campo – Taberni
Coyu – Always Wanting More (Flug’s Thrust Yourself Remix)
“I’ve always been close to Suara and Coyu during all my career. Suara made a move some time ago to a harder, darker and faster side and I loved it. Flug made an outstanding remix here, loved it at the first hear.”
Ramiro Lopez – Infectious
“Easy to play and very effective. Always have a good reaction from the dancefloor since the first testing. That’s why is still a essential on my sets.”
Space 92 – Atlas
“I love all the stuff Rainier Zonneveld’s label is releasing . I feel very identified with Filth on Acid’s sound. This is from the last EP. And guess what! I’ll make my debut on the label with the next one. Looking forward to it!”
Juliana Yamasaki – Burning Fire
“I’m a big fan of Juliana’s stuff. Always full of power. This is definitely my fav from her.”
Alan Fitzpatrick – Droid Disco
“Rekids never disappoints and neither Alan does. Digging the whole EP but this is my pick. Great Job here.”
BEC – Psilocybin Therapy
“Another artist that I love her productions is BEC. This one is more melodic, in the way of Terminal M style but with her inconfundible touch. Monika Kruse has a great taste in selecting the music for her label.”
Ramiro Lopez – Out Mama
“Released last summer in the middle of these pandemic craziness. Shame it couldn’t be played on any club cus that was its porpoise. Still good to play at home if you like it hard.”
Bicep – Atlas
“Completely in love with the music of these guys. I deeply admire them. It’s not a stuff I use to play but really enjoy it. I’ve played this one to close some of my sets. Goosebumps always whenever I listen to it. Genius.”
Ramiro Lopez – Into The Code EP is out now on Filth On Acid featuring tracks Into The Code ft Lady Vale, Bluash and Detuned Future. Listen or grab a copy HERE.
