GLOBALLY renowned UK electronic live act and producer Saytek, returns to his home town of Reading for an intimate live showcase as he looks forward to an incredible summer of live performances all over the world.
2023 marks 20 years since Saytek performed live for the very first time. Over the last two decades he has cemented his place as one of the most exciting and innovative artists in the industry today. He is acclaimed for his electrifying live performances, which have received tens of millions of views on his live streams as well as captivating audiences at clubs and festivals worldwide.

Saytek has been recognised with Album of the Month honours by both DJ Mag and Mixmag and he’s been nominated for Best Live Act by DJ Mag. He was also voted as one of the country’s top live acts by the German public for Faze Mag.
Overnight success really gained momentum when Industry icon Carl Cox discovered Saytek’s music calling him a ‘genius’ numerous times in the press before signing him to his Awesome Soundwave label and inviting him to join him on main stages all over the world with AWS artists including at DC10 in Ibiza last summer.
Saytek has performed at most of the prestigious festivals and clubs worldwide and has released music on many of the the most respected labels, including Awesome Soundwave, R&S, Soma, Trax, Superfreq, and of course his own imprint, Cubism.
We caught up with Saytek at the weekend for a chat and he’s given us an exclusive live recording for The Night Bazaar Sessions of his performance for Entity at Studio388 in London on Saturday April 15th which you can listen to HERE or at the end of the interview.
You are celebrating 20 years as a live artist this year. It’s been quite the journey and you had to overcome a lot to get to this point which has been well documented over the years and been an inspiration to many of your fans. How does it feel looking back and how do you feel looking forward?
It feels great! The music industry can be tough at times but I have performed so many shows to so many amazing people with tens of millions of streams of me jamming my music live and I’ve been releasing records on so many great labels. This makes all of the hard work worth it!
SAYTEK LIVE – 303 JAMS EP – FORTHCOMING ON CUBISM – ARTWORK BY MARK GWINNETT
You are regrouping with your Cubism label this summer with a show in Reading marking your 20 year anniversary in your home town with your label mate Mark Gwinnett? Can you tell us about the party and also the forthcoming 303 Jams EP you have coming on the label?
Yes, I’m really looking forward to the show in Reading with Cubism this summer. It’s going to be a special one for me, being my hometown and all. Mark Gwinnett and I have been working together for a long time now, so it’s going to be a real celebration of our journey together.
As for the 303 Jams EP, I’m really excited about this one. It’s a collection of tracks that all feature the iconic Roland TB-303, which is a machine that’s very close to my heart. It was recorded live on 303 day In reading with charity Readipop I think fans of acid and techno are going to love it.
Cubism is marking a milestone of its own this year as it turns 15. How do you feel about the label and the legacy of music it has delivered to dance floors over the years?
Cubism has been a big part of my life for a long time now, so it’s really special to see it reach its 15th anniversary. The label has always been about showcasing new and exciting talent, and I think we’ve been successful in doing that over the years. We have also released a lot of live jams from myself and music from Mark’s Lunacy Sound Division project. I’m really proud of the legacy of music we’ve created and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Cubism.

Tell us about some of the other gigs you have on the horizon for what looks set to be another busy summer for you?
I’ve got a lot of gigs coming up this summer, which is always exciting. Some of the ones I’m particularly looking forward to include a show at fabric in London, a festival appearance in Frankfurt, and a gig in at the Rave The Planet parade in Berlin. It’s going to be a busy summer for sure, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
As ever you have an extremely prolific output of releases. Can you tell us about some of the big ones already this year and also what you have forthcoming?
Without a doubt the biggest one is my 3rd album on Awesome Soundwave along with some singles being released first. Super excited about this!
You have given us an exclusive recording from your recent performance at Studio338 in London for Entity? Sounds like the party went off?
Absolutely! The Entity party at Studio338 was amazing. It was great to be back in London and to feel the energy of the crowd. I think the recording really captures that vibe and I’m happy to be able to share it with you all. Hope you enjoy it!
