BERLIN’S techno matriarch, Anja Schneider returns to her still relatively new Sous Music project with the fabulous new Wait EP.

The title track on the new release features the vocal talents of Fritz Helder and the second track sees Fritz go it alone with more than a touch of sonic mastery on The Whistle Song.

Anja has had a busy year with a slew of remixes for the likes of Robert Armani and M.A.N.D.Y. so now felt like the right time for new original material. She says: ‘It felt essential to make a track for the dancefloor’.

We caught up with Anja and she talked us through a playlist of current favourites including her new track Wait.

Alan Dixon – Take A Trip

I love the recent tracks from Alan Dixon. This one reminds me of a very good classic, as it first perfectly into any set and takes you on a trip. Sometimes that’s what we all need, a little escapism, and this track delivers that.

Ewan McVicar – Heather Park

I have always been a fan of Ninja Tune, and all that the record label releases. However, they are still able to surprise me, and this was one of those moments. A track which is so different from anything else because the harmonies are almost a bit wrong. But I swear, it’s a track I love and once you hear it out on a night, you won’t forget it.
