THE summer season is underway now in Ibiza and island veteran Butch today drops his anticipated collaboration with Nic Fanciulli, I Want You on Defected Records.
No stranger to collaborations having already worked with dance music royalty such as Ricardo Villalobos and Maceo Plex, this is his first original production with Nic having previously teamed up on a remix of Lauren Lane’s Cool Kids which was released Nic’s Saved imprint a few years ago.

We caught up with Butch fresh from his closing set at the Circoloco opening party at DC10 in Ibiza earlier this week and he’s put together a playlist of summer favourites for us including the new single I Want You with Nic.
Butch / Nic Fanciulli – I Want You (Defected)
This is by far the most important track in music history. Forget Michael Jackson, Prince and The Beatles… This track is going to buy me a new Lamborghini and fuel my private jet. Buy it, stream and dance to it. But it is also a super nice track, maybe you will like it.
Radio Slave – Wild Life (Disco Mix) (Rekids)
I am always happy to see new Radio Slave releases, as he is one of my favourite artists and producers and it is great to see he is back with some proper house music after a few years of techno focus.
Mobile Soul System – Sleep Paralysis (Ilya Schultz Remix) (Scriptum Records)
A much more minimal and deep record, something I would use mid set to change the mood and slow things down…
Hatiras – Starlight Original Mix (Spacedisco Records)
So dope to see Hatiras is still around and making music out of Greece. His space invader track is one of the biggest tracks ever in the early 2000s and Starlight is a much more summer tune which will be nice for those sunset moments.
Jonasclean, Omeria – Rise Again (Our Yunus Records)
To be honest, I am not familiar with these artists so much but it is exactly what I want my dance floors to feel like this summer. A real crowd pleaser for Ibiza.
Traumer, Brako – 001_Bandit
Coming from the new school of French house, Traumer is a prolific producer and one of house music’s real shining stars and dancers! This new single comes with super nice vocals and of course his housey vibes.
TRACKHEADZ – 19Eightynine (DNH Records)
This is an homage or Larry Heards Mr Fingers massive “Can you feel it” – one of Chicago houses biggest records ever.
Alma Negra – Dakar Disco (Heist Recordings)
This is from Dam Swindle’s Heist Recordings and definitely one of the hottest house labels around. Formally known as Detroit Swindle, they renamed themselves to not hurt the feelings of Detroit’s music originators. You can feel the sunshine shining out of my “insert word” here
Kassian – Actions (Original Mix) (Faux Poly)
Super cool new duo from London, this is a deep, electronic and dark track from one of the UK’s biggest exports where they are playing everywhere from Panorama Bar to Rex Club. This record will be a special one.
Demuir – Latin Madness (Bambossa Records)
A classic vocal house track for those super fun sunshine moments that the summer brings.
