JOSEPH CAPRIATI is one of the finest electronic music artists to emerge from the Italian techno scene over the past decade.
He has become a firm favourite on club and festival line-ups across the globe.
He teamed up with Unicef to put on a hugely successful show in Naples last month at the Studio Diego Armando Maradona to raise money for the children of Ukraine – Joseph Capriati & Friends.

We caught up with him this week and he has selected a few career highlights and current favourites for our playlist. Listen and read what he had to say about the music he has selected below.
ADAM BEYER & JOSEPH CAPRIATI – PARALLELS
This one is very important to me as it is the first track of the very first release on Redimension Music! Of course it had to be the first one on this interview. ha! Adam is a dear friend to me, and this is what makes the collaboration even more special; we recorded it together in Stockholm, two years ahead of when it then actually got released and I have to say I really played it a lot throughout the years. And I still play it!
RILIS 03_A2 – RINO CERRONE (JOSEPH CAPRIATI REMIX)
This one is taken from Redimension 004: ‘Rino Cerrone (Joseph Capriati Reinterpretation)’, which, as suggested by the title, is my reinterpretation of Rino Cerrone. Rino was and still is one of the biggest influences on my music. I had the honor to continue his school, which is the Napolitan Techno one, of which he is definitely the biggest representative, alongside Marco Carola, Gaetano Parisio, Markantonio, Davide Squillace, Danilo Vigorito. Rino left us this huge and visionary discography and the fact I had the big honor to release this reinterpretation, makes me a really happy man.
KLAUDIA GAWLAS – THE SIREN
This is a big one, a great dance floor track. And for sure it’s the most popular release on the label too.
JOSEPH CAPRIATI – GOA (CARL COX REMIX)
It’s a big honour to have Carl releasing on my label. A curious one here is that I do remember the first time he heard Goa (the Original Mix), he loved it so much he decided to play it as the last track at his last ever set at Time Warp back in 2019, which of course was a really special moment for him, for me and for all of us really.
JOSEPH CAPRIATI FEAT. JAMES SENES – NEW HORIZONS
An honour to have had the chance to collaborate with James, he truly is a timeless Napolitan legend. I’m so happy with what came out from this collaboration: a fusion between two genres and two eras.
RICHEY V & SIMONE ZINO – HYSTERIA
Great one. I do remember very clearly when Richey and Simone met me at the hall of my hotel in Mannheim. They came and they gave me this USB with their music on it, right before my set at Time Warp: the music in there was just so good I then decided to play it on my set. The reaction of the crowd was just amazing – I had to release them 🙂
JOSEPH CAPRIATI & FLAVIO FOLCO – PROSPECTIVE JOURNEYS
This one is very dear to me, with my long-time friend Flavio Folco, great artist. We recorded it in Barcelona, in my old studio: it’s made out of few elements, but impactful ones.
ANTHONY PARASOLE – VELOCITY
I do remember when I asked Anthony, great artist from New York, his demos: he was as happy as surprised at the same time – he didn’t know I am actually a huge fan of his work. Which is also why I am so happy about this one.
JOSEPH CAPRIATI – LOVE CHANGED ME (DAVE CLARKE REMIX)
A legend of techno who remixes a house track… it was a pride and an honor! People did not expect this fusion between genres, but Dave really made an exceptional remix, with references and recalls to the Chicago House.
JOSEPH CAPRIATI & LOUIE VEGA – SPIRIT BROTHERS
Last but not least, Spirit Brothers. It was a real honor to make this collab with Louie in his own studio in New York City. This track recalls all the house influences on my music and it was a dream come true to collaborate with Louie, an artist that I respect, a real legend and a true inspiration on my life and career.
