BELGIAN drum and bass maestro Netsky and New Zealand heavyweight Montell2099 have teamed up for an atmospheric riot of a club essential with new single, Broken
The release follows their first collaboration Mixed Emotions, taken from Netsky’s fourth studio album Second Nature, which was released on Hospital Records in 2020. The pair met a few years ago, during Netsky’s annual pilgrimage to New Zealand, and friendship has blossomed into collaborations and appearing on stages together across the globe.
To mark the release of their new single we invited the duo to compile a playlist of music that symbolises their friendship.

It goes without saying that this is one of the most iconic electronic tracks ever. You play this anywhere in the world at a festival, and its instantly recognisable. An all time classic.
Netsky – Everybody Loves The Sunshine
Absolute tune. Since it was released this song is heard everywhere in New Zealand through the summer. Love what Boris did with the track by keeping the vibe of the sample, but putting his own signature twist on it.
Netsky – Love Has Gone
This song was actually one of my first proper experiences with the drum and bass genre. I had heard of drum and bass from the radio andthe internet – but then heard a friend playing this song in high school and was hooked immediately. That big saw chord progression is forever ingrained in my head.
Netsky ft Montell2099 – Mixed Emotions
Had the pleasure of collaborating with Boris on this tune and love how it turned out. This track holds a lot of weight for me, not just from the video being shot at my home, but the journey this song took before it got released.
Netsky – Hold On featuring Becky Hill
Love this tune. Such a well written song that always goes off live. Becky Hill smashed the vocals as well. This track is loved amongst my family and friends.
